CEUSrEZ offers courses both in person and on their website for hospital administrators, personnel, and nurses. They had in person courses already but they didn’t have a good method for online signup or delivery of their courses. They needed an online web-application that allows course takers to search, find, and pay for applicable courses as well as integrate with their existing LMS (Talent LMS). Applied Imagination was tasked to help set this up.
We first designed and built a website to communicate their course offerings. We custom designed it and honed the user experience to make it as easy to use as possible.
Using the WooCommerce e-commerce platform, we heavily customized it for use as a course catalog. We customized it to allow for bundles of courses to be offered, related products, and sample certificates. In addition we built a custom search plugin to allow for customers to search by tags such as state and job type.
We also customized product display to show custom data such as credit hours, related products.
Checkout was heavily customized to match the look of the site starting with the shopping cart.
We had to customize the checkout process entirely to support special fields, multiple conditional fields, and license entry.
The key part of this was the integration with the Talent LMS. Whenever customers purchase a course the web-application connects to the Talent LMS via API and creates a user profile (if one doesn’t already exist) and then adds the courses to it. We had to setup custom transactions inside Talent LMS to ensure everything works seamlessly.
Every team member signs their name to each project to show they stand by it.
